PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Title: Sales Lead

Reports to: Store Manager

Supervises: Associates

 

PURPOSE:

Responsible for maintaining excellent customer service, merchandise presentation, loss prevention standards and operation assignments as outlined in detail by the Store Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Open store Monday through Friday only*
  • Close store Monday through Wednesday if necessary*
  • Executes bank deposits.
  • Complete cash refunds for returned merchandise.
  • Complete employee purchase transaction.
  • Do cash payout for store purchases and services if authorized by Store Manager
  • Complete markdowns on sale and damaged goods when instructed
  • Receive merchandise shipments.
  • Issue gift certificates.
  • Promote and motivate staff to achieve sales goals, both personal and store.
  • Establish store/individual sales goals, communicate goals and monitor achievement of goals.
  • Effectively ensure that customers are serviced properly by direct selling and monitoring the sales floor.
  • Inform all staff of their daily assignments as outlined by Store Manager.
  • Attain established Store sales goals set by Store Manager.
  • Ensure proper merchandise presentations are maintained.
  • Support and communicate bhme strategies to sales staff members.
  • Make merchandise or display changes as directed by the Store Manager.
  • Assist management with floor set implementation.
  • Uphold loss prevention standards in Store Manager's absence.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the register and all other related hardware.
  • Assist Store Manager with merchandise inventories.
  • Secure Bhme assets and property in Store Managers absence.
  • Maintain housekeeping and proper organization of the merchandise.
  • Maintain backroom presentation standards by maintaining and organizing stock.
  • Support the Bhme Brand strategies.
  • Report to Store Manager any customer service needs or concerns.
  • Reports to Store Manager any incidents or violation of Bhme policy.
  • Initiate self-training and encourage staff training through the training materials.
  • Attend and participate in weekly management meetings.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

AUTHORITY:

  • Authorized to open the store as described above, with exception to Saturday and Sunday.
    • *Exceptions to this practice must be authorized by the Area Manager or above.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum high school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one-year retail store management experience or equivalent education.
    • For Internal promotions:
      • Successful completion of personal sales goals for no less than six consecutive months
      • Proven examples of team motivation and development
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • PC skills appreciated.
